It’s easy to criticize Ryan Dungey’s strategy of being consistent, settling for what he can get and avoiding taking unnecessary chances, but it has paid off for Ryan with three AMA 450 Supercross Championships. And, for those who think that he can’t win, there are 33 first place trophies on his mantel that say otherwise. Here are the 2017 consistency metrics — Top 10s, Top 5s and Top 3s. Look at who’s at the top of each chart. They should look familiar because they are also leading the 450 points chase.

marvin musquinIt is hard to believe that Trey Canard (41) only has one Top Ten finish, but this season, like many of those before, has been marred by injury.
